Just Be-Paws

Thursday, March 30, 2017
I can't believe it's Thursday evening! This week is flying by. In fact, the entire month has flown by.

I made this card for my middle guy - just be-paws!

I just learned that this is National Crafting Month in the US. Simon Says Stamp would like to see what we've been working on. I also created this card for the final day of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.

Products used:

The heart embossing folder is from HMK Cards and the little fishtail banner from a My Craft Spot die.

Happy Easter

Wednesday, March 29, 2017
Welcome to Wednesday! March has flown and it's hard to believe that April is just around the corner. Sandy is our hostess at Little Red Wagon this week and she's chosen the theme Hippity Hoppity - use a bunny (or something that hops) on your project.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see how the rest of the Girlfriends have met the challenge - and then link up your own hippity hoppity creation!

I'll be linking up my card in this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Products used:

The die used to create the grass and the pink sequins are from My Craft Spot (no longer in business).

You are "Plane" Amazing

Wednesday, March 22, 2017
Happy Wednesday! We're back safely from our holiday in the Dominican where we had an AMAZING time! It's time for another challenge at Little Red Wagon and I'm thrilled to be this week's hostess. I've chosen the theme "It's clear to me" and I'm asking that you pull out your transparency or acetate - or include a window - for your creation.

For my card, I went with some transparency for the front. I have to admit that Mandy (Happy Scrappin') taught this technique in a card class years ago - so the idea is all hers! The plane image is adhered to the front of the clouds whereas the sentiment is inside. However, because of the transparency, the sentiment can still be seen. I gave this card to our pilot once we landed safely. (Actually, I gave it to a flight attendant to pass along.) Whenever I fly, I like to give the pilot a thank you card as I can't imagine the task of being responsible for so many souls.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own "clear" project! We can't wait to see what you create!

Products used:

The transparency is left-over from my teaching days when overhead machines were still used!

Bag with a Tag

Wednesday, March 15, 2017
Mandy is our hostess at Little Red Wagon this week and she wants us to "Tag It". You can either use a tag on your creation or simply create a tag or two for future use. I used a Tiny Tag die (retired from My Craft Spot) in order to meet the challenge requirements.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the tags that the rest of the Girlfriends have created. We'd love for you to then link up your own "Tag It" project!

The tag dies and twine are retired from My Craft Spot.

Pot of Gold

Wednesday, March 8, 2017
We'll be leaving for Toronto as soon as I get off work this afternoon. Our family of five has been very generously gifted a 10-day holiday to the Dominican Republic - flights and accommodation! We feel so incredibly blessed for this opportunity to spend time together and my husband has been cleared by his medical team to fly. Our flight leaves tomorrow morning so we decided to stay near the airport tonight. I'm looking forward to sun, sand and ocean waves!

Donna is our hostess at Little Red Wagon this week and she's got quite a challenge for us - use plaid AND polka-dots on our projects. I recently ordered some paper packs from Worldwide Scrapbooking Supplies and the Pot O' Gold paper came in very handy. In fact, I let the paper do the majority of the work for this card!!

The sweet image is actually part of the paper pack. The dies and stamp that I used are all retired products from My Craft Spot.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see how the rest of the Girlfriends have met the challenge - and then link up your own plaid and polka-dot creation.

Hello, Friend

Monday, March 6, 2017
I'm up too late, but that's because I took time in my craftroom after evening chores. I created this sweet little card to send to somebody I know who could use a pick-me-up.

HB2U Monkey

Saturday, March 4, 2017
It's Day 4 and I'm still playing along in The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge. So far, so good! I had a lot going on today but sneaked down to my craftroom for a quick bit after supper to create a little card. I'm trying to use stamps and supplies that I've been storing but have never used!

I Dig You

Friday, March 3, 2017
Happy weekend! I can't believe it's Friday already. This week flew by! I absolutely LOVE my job but it was quite a busy week so I do look forward to some rest for a couple of days.

There's a new challenge at Your Next Stamp (Sketch Challenge #59). Given that I entered the last challenge in the final hours, I decided to be ahead of the game and enter the new challenge right away! The stamps I used are all from Your Next Stamp although I can't seem to find the "I Dig You" set that I used for the mole and sentiment. I'm thinking that it must be retired now.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Eureka!

Thursday, March 2, 2017
This week has been far busier than I had anticipated but I am trying to carve a bit of time (when I can!) to participate in the 30-Day Color Challenge.

Today's colouring turned into an entire card which I am entering in Your Next Stamp's Sketch Challenge #58.

Thanks for Your Kindness

Wednesday, March 1, 2017
It's time for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon and Brenda is our hostess this week. She's inviting us to celebrate all those March birthdays out there by using aquamarine as the primary colour on our projects.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then pull out your aquamarine to create and link your own project in this week's challenge!

Products used:

"for your kindness" is from My Craft Spot (no longer in business).
